Chat that syncs Mac and Windows in seconds.
Paste text, code, or a file on one machine, and it is waiting on the other. No RDP clipboard, no phone app, no waiting. Plus real chats with people: groups, channels, polls, voice notes, and 1:1 calls, all with a username, not a phone number.
No app to install to start. Add it to your home screen later as a PWA.
Everything you asked for, in one lean app
Not a clipboard hack, not a phone app in a browser tab. A real chat product you can run yourself.
My notes, everywhere
Your private self-chat is the fastest Mac to Windows clipboard that does not depend on RDP.
Groups & channels
1:1 by @username, groups for teams, broadcast-only channels. Reply, react, star, edit, search.
QR login
Show a QR on a new browser, approve it from a logged-in one. No phone app, no password typing.
Dark theme
Admin sets the default, each user can override it. Clean Inter + indigo Identvia styling.
Polls & mentions
@mention someone, run a poll, schedule a message, set disappearing messages.
AI, token-smart
Summarize, translate, draft replies. Cached, never paid twice, hard monthly cap.
1:1 calls
Peer-to-peer voice and video from a chat. No media server needed for 1:1.
Sign in your way
Email, Google, or Sign in with Identvia. Usernames checked instantly, changeable later.
How it works
Create an account
Pick a username. It is checked instantly, and you can change it later without breaking chats.
Open My notes
Paste on your Mac, read it on Windows, or the other way round, in about 2 seconds.
Invite by @username
Start a chat, a group, or a channel. No phone numbers, no contacts sync needed.
Ready to stop fighting the RDP clipboard?
Create an account, open My notes on both machines, and paste once. That is the whole test.
Questions
Is this WhatsApp?
No. It feels similar, but it is your own self-hosted chat, with usernames instead of phone numbers, and no phone app required.
Is it end-to-end encrypted?
Not in v1.2. Messages are stored on your server and protected by login and HTTPS. Do not use it for secrets you would not trust a server admin with. E2E is a separate future project, because it would break server-side search, AI, and moderation.
Do I need a VPS?
No. This version is built for shared cPanel hosting with no SSH. 1:1 calls are peer-to-peer, so no media server is needed. Group calls would need a VPS later.
Where do files live?
Locally on your server by default, or on S3-compatible storage like Wasabi if the admin turns that on. Downloads go through a login and membership check.
